New for 2018: Snowdonia Society photography competition

The Snowdonia Society has launched a photography competition which will see 12 Finalists’ images selected for a 2019 calendar to raise funds towards protecting the National Park.

The theme of the competition is ‘Snowdonia’ and is open to the public; with entrants permitted to submit one photo by the competition closing date of June 30 2018.

Superb prizes include a night’s stay in Elen’s Castle Hotel, a day of adventure and mountain skills with RAW Adventures, £25 gift voucher for Trefriw Woollen Mill and a bottle of top-quality local gin Jin Llechen LasThe 12 Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges and will win a year’s membership to the Snowdonia Society, as well as the chance to see their images in our 2019 calendar. The overall winner will be featured both inside and on the cover of the calendar, and will also receive a membership prize.

Celebrated local photographer and film maker Natasha Brooks (pictured left) will be on the judging panel and will run a photography workshop in the spring to help those who would like to hone their camera skills.

Entries must be digital images at full resolution and in landscape format.  Send to info@snowdonia-society.org.uk by midnight on June 30 2018.

Finalists are invited to a formal prize-giving ceremony at Coed y Brenin on Saturday 27 October 2018 where the calendar will also be on sale to the public.
