Conwy Falls nominated as Landmark of the Year

Conwy Falls makes it to the top five

Celebrated author and former Director of the National Trust, Dame Fiona Reynolds, had nominated the Conwy Falls as Landmark of the Year in the Countryfile Magazine Awards 2017. The Conwy Falls is one of five nominated landmarks in the category, and has been described by Dame Reynolds as “the most magical of all” waterfalls with qualities that are “irresistable and irreplacable”.

Vote for Conwy Falls as Landmark of the Year

This could not come at a more important time, with hydro-power plans for the River Conwy currently on hold but still a potential threat to the wild beauty of the Conwy Falls and Fairy Glen. To read more about Snowdonia Society’s involvement with the campaign, click here.
