A perfect opportunity to learn some more about the Snowdonia Society

If you’re curious about the Snowdonia Society, who we are and what we do, this is a perfect opportunity to meet our volunteers and staff! Bring the family along and enjoy a range of activities including a bee quiz, candle rolling and making your very own bee hotel to take home!

Since 1967 the Snowdonia Society, a member-based registered charity, has worked with local communities, organisations, businesses and individuals to protect and enhance the beauty and special qualities of Snowdonia and to promote their enjoyment in the interests of all who live in, work in or visit the area both now and in the future. Come along to Tŷ Hyll to meet our team, enjoy the Wildlife Garden, learn about the Growing Tŷ Hyll Project and the various activities we’ve got planned for the summer!

For the kids…

The Summer Holidays are almost here, hurray! We have five acres of woodland to play in and a beautiful garden to spot various creatures! Why not help us record the different animals at Tŷ Hyll by bringing a notebook to write down down all the different species you see? Have a peek in our enormous ‘bug-hotel’ or have a wonder down to the pond to visit the newts! You can even bring some binoculars and help our volunteers identify birds on the bird feeders! After you’ve finished exploring, you can relax by making a wax candle or a bee-hotel to take home and remind you of this magical day!

Activities are suitable for children and adults. There is a Tearoom on site for light meals and refreshments. Well behaved dogs welcome on leads. This event is free but donations are warmly accepted. Parking is limited.

We look forward to seeing you there!
