Historical walk: Landscapes of the Past in the Carneddau

As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations for 2017, we’ve teamed up with the Trefriw Walking Festival for this guided walk in the Carneddau for members of Snowdonia Society and the public.

Join us for walk in the foothills of the Carneddau with archaeologist and heritage consultant Dr Sarah McCarthy, exploring some of the archaeological and historic landscapes of the area.

This will be a ‘mid-level’ walk, with some rough walking (i.e. off paths, grade 2/3). We will be car-sharing to the start point from Trefriw Village Hall, and returning by the same method in time for the now-legendary TWF Cake Fest at 4 p.m.

Duration: Roughly 6 hrs. Please bring a packed lunch.
Distance: tbc
Grade: Moderate/strenuous
Meet: 9.45 a.m. to start by car share from Trefriw Village Hall (LL27 0JH, SH781631)
