Volunteer Opportunity

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to help with this family friendly event, aiming to inform the general public of the valuable work of the Snowdonia Society and its dedicated volunteers.

The Snowdonia Society needs your help to host an event at Tŷ Hyll, aiming to raise awareness of the conservation issues in our local area and what we do to help. This includes; how we deal with invasive plant species (Himalayan Balsam Bashing and Japanese Knotweed Clearance), how we help pollinators, litter picking and anything else you can think of! As well as the ‘information stand’ we will also require your assistance to host a variety of activities for children including candle rolling, bee quiz and ‘bee hotel’ making.

Please get in contact if you would like to take part in this event and let us know how you’d like to contribute!

We need volunteers for the following tasks;

• Setting up the tent and tables
• Providing information on the Society and how/what we do to help
• Meeting and greeting visitors
• Activities for children – candle rolling, bee quiz, and ‘bee hotel’ making (please bring along any spare tin cans you have lying around!)
