5p plastic carrier bag levy

All local shops and supermarkets choose a cause to receive the proceeds from the Plastic Carrier Bag Levy, and will change the cause from time to time.

In 2013, Spar donated just under £780 to the Snowdonia Society under this scheme. Please talk to your local shops and ask how you can nominate us.

Nationwide ‘Big Local’

Why not nominate Snowdonia Society for your local Nationwide Building Society’s charitable giving initiatives:

  •  Big Local this enables customers to vote online for a different regional charity each month (as nominated by you) to win a £5,000 donation.
  • Community Match – this enables customers to vote for one of three local causes (as nominated by you) in branch to win a £500 donation.
