It was brilliant to see so many members who attended the Snowdonia Society’s Annual General Meeting at the rugby club in Bethesda on Saturday. We were encouraged to hear the updates on the range and scale of the Society’s work throughout the last year.
We said a big thank you to the trustees who stepped down after long service – David Archer, Bob Lowe and Jacob Buis, and we thanked Julian Pitt as his 3-year stint as Chair came to an end.
We welcomed new trustees Jane Barbrook and David Walker and welcomed Sue Beaumont to her new role as our Chair.
Robbie Blackhall-Miles from gave a fascinating and inspiring talk on his work with Natur am Byth, the country’s largest ever species conservation project, aiming to save species from extinction and reconnect people to nature.
The morning’s meeting was followed by guided walks from Bethesda, and a chance to learn more about the Carneddau Landscape partnership project and to spend time together out in the fresh air catching up.
Thank you to all who attended and we look forward to seeing you at the next one!
