As our Senior Conservation Officer, Iwan is responsible for planning practical volunteering days with our partners. He also provides training for our volunteers and is responsible for the development of any staff undertaking training.
Iwan has been brought up in Eryri and has lived here most of his life. He loves spending time in the hills and mountains, walking, running and climbing. He is enthusiastic about supporting and improving Eryri for everyone, especially the next generation as he has recently become a father.
His background is in various contracting work, and he takes a keen interest in conservation whilst working for a tree cutting company and gaining experience of conservation work with a variety of companies.
The Snowdonia Society, established in 1967, is a member-based registered charity working to protect and enhance the beauty and special qualities of Eryri and to promote their enjoyment in the interests of all who live in, work in or visit the area both now and in the future.
