Snowdonia will benefit from doubled donations between Tuesday 30 November and Tuesday 7 December thanks to The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2021.
Thoughtful supporters of the Snowdonia Society’s work have already pledged £1,600. Now you are invited to donate through the Big Give online portal during those seven days, to match these generous pledges. Our goal is to raise £6,400 towards our People and Nature campaign, delivering opportunities for people to help protect nature and special places across Snowdonia.
John Harold, Director of the Snowdonia Society said:
“With events cancelled due to the pandemic, we’ve lost many opportunities to raise funds over the last two years. This makes online fundraising a vital way to channel support for our work. Last spring we raised an impressive £2900 through a similar Big Give fundraiser and the result was astounding: we met our target before the week was over. This Christmas we’re hoping our supporters will once again rise to the challenge.”
He added:
“Snowdonia is beautiful but its treasures are threatened by climate change, the biodiversity crisis and tourism-related pressures. Please donate this Christmas. Funds raised will help us with our ongoing work to restore nature, tackle climate change and respond to visitor pressures in the National Park.”
