Make a Difference Weekend 2024 – Success!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in Make a Difference Weekend 2024 at the end of this summer! Partner organisations, sponsors, volunteers and staff all came together to achieve a variety of practical tasks to help look after the beauty, species and habitats of Eryri National Park.

Some of the achievements of the weekend:

  • 41 people contributed a fantastic 400 hours to volunteering and activities
  • 3kg of hard-to-reach litter was removed from the shores of Llyn Padarn by canoe
  • Over 2.5km of Yr Wyddfa’s Watkin Path maintained alongside the National Trust Footpath Team
  • Rhododendron removed from 15 acre area of Woodland Trust land
  • 23kg of litter, including 27 hats, removed from Cwm Hetiau, Yr Wyddfa as part of Caru Eryri extreme litter pick
  • 14 people learned about ancient woodlands at the Woodland Trust’s Coed Hafod y Llyn
  • 10 people had the chance to see reptiles and amphibians up close at the North Wales Wildlife Trust’s Gwaith Powdwr site.

None of this would be possible without your positivity and willingness to help us protect Snowdonia, so a big thank you for all your support!
