Last Tuesday staff members and friends of the Snowdonia Society took part in the monthly quiz at the Douglas Arms in Bethesda, generating £64 towards the work of the Society in just one evening.
The five-strong team managed to score 52 points out of 70 in the tough quiz, however were shown up by questions like ‘What was Beethoven’s only opera?‘ among others!*
Last spring quiz master and Society member Gareth Jones nominated the Snowdonia Society to receive the donations from the monthly event, showing our members’ readiness to help fundraise for the Society.
Funds generated from the Douglas Quiz will go straight into the our Fifty Years Future target fund of £50,000 to mark our 50th anniversary, and we’re 78{cfe7b007ef2d97d6c94c66bdf5fd69182957ee376eb8b20ce6b541889da3df98} there! Click here to make a donation and help us reach our target by January 2018.
Why not test your general knowledge and join the Douglas quizzers on the second Tuesday of every month? There is a bottle of wine to be won and all proceeds go towards our work looking after Snowdonia.
*Specialists in music history needed for the team! Get in touch if you’d like to join us for the next quiz on Tuesday 12 December.
