An Anglesey-based firm, Always Aim High Events, is running a virtual sporting event this month with 20% of entry fees going towards the Snowdonia Society’s work protecting the National Park.
The event, Spring into Action, will see participants running and cycling distances between 25-1000 kilometres from their homes, even climbing the equivalent of Mont Blanc on a staircase.
Director of the Snowdonia Society, John Harold, said: “We’re delighted that a local company is pairing their ingenuity in the current crisis with a responsibility to Snowdonia by choosing the Snowdonia Society as the receiving charity for the participant entry funds.”
He added: “Funds received will help to support our practical work programme of litter picking, footpath maintenance and habitat restoration in Snowdonia, which will re-commence once it’s safe to do so”.
The Snowdonia Society is very grateful to Emma and the team at Always Aim High Events for the nomination. To find out more and to get involved with Spring into Action, click here.
