Wani joined the Snowdonia Society team as Finance Officer, which involves the administrative, unglamorous tasks of balancing the books, maintaining financial records and producing financial reports for stakeholders.
Wani first visited Snowdonia in 2012 when her sister studied for her master’s degree at Bangor University and fell immediately in love with the beautiful area. There is something about the mountains and the forests in North Wales that calm her down and keep her anxiety at bay.
In her spare time, Wani enjoys exploring North Wales by foot and reading about corporate scandals. She hopes to learn as much as she could about organising conservation work so that she can emulate this in her home country, Malaysia in the future. She’s also currently learning Welsh and enjoys having the opportunity to use and practice the Welsh greetings she’s learnt in real life!
The Snowdonia Society, established in 1967, is a member-based registered charity working to protect and enhance the beauty and special qualities of Eryri and to promote their enjoyment in the interests of all who live in, work in or visit the area both now and in the future.
